Howard "Bucky" Buchanan, President/Lead Instructor, RVESCUE
With over 25 years of Emergency Services background, Bucky is RVESCUE’s Lead Instructor and founding member. Previously, he worked as a Senior Program Coordinator with the National Transit Institute, bringing his experiences from Emergency Management & Transit Agencies across the Country to other agencies ranging from major cities to rural areas. His specialty is in Staging & Accountability of EMS Resources during a Large Scale Incident. Bucky is a volunteer EMT & Rescue Technician with several agencies in the Central NJ area and previously served the American Red Cross’ National Disaster Response Team as a Health Services Specialist, and is a past-Board Chairman of one of their Chapters.
Tom Lloyd, VP-Educational Services, RVESCUE
Tom is a NJ Certified EMT, along with a National Safety Council instructor in Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator courses. Having over 20 years of volunteer EMS and Rescue background, Tom currently serves as the Rescue LT with the Branchburg Rescue Squad in Somerset County NJ. Bringing a legal background to the team, Tom brings a strong compliance flavor to our team, and currently holds the position of Vice President of Educational Services.
Matthew Strohl, Director- Raritan Valley Emergency Services
Matt is a NJ & VA certified Firefighter/EMT, currently working as a career employee for a major fire department in Virginia. He is the Managing Director of Raritan Valley Emergency Services, which provides management & resource management for Fire, EMS or Security at Large Scale pre-planned events. Matt is one of our lead instructors for RVESCUE's Technical Rescue Series of courses.
Brayden Fahey, Administrative Assistant
NJ EMT/FF serving both in volunteer and career positions around Central NJ, Brayden is a certified facilitator of the EMS Response to Large Scale Incidents program, serves as the Deputy EMS Coordinator for the Hunterdon County NJ Office of Emergency Management, and is a member of the Hunterdon County Technical Rescue Task Force.
Frankie Veneziale, Logistics Manager
Frank is a FF/EMT handling logistics for our courses and is the lead instructor for our “Pandemic Preparedness” programs. He works as a 9-1-1 Operator and is an as needed County Deputy Emergency Management Coordinator. Previously Frank was responsible for the County Training Center that served Fire, EMS & Rescue agencies. Also, Frank has coordinated training programs across the Country bringing transit and emergency services entitites together. Frank is Past-Chief and Past-President of a combination Volunteer-Career EMS/Rescue department in Hunterdon County. Frank currently serves on the Raritan Township Emergency Management committee.

Devin Kerins, BA MICP, Consultant/Senior Instructor
Devin is a certified Paramedic in NJ who is employed by FEMA Region 2 Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT) as their Resources Unit Leader. Prior to joining FEMA, he worked as a State Planner with the NJ EMS Task Force, as well as an Emergency Preparedness Planner for a Healthcare System in Western NJ. Devin is the developer of several of our programs included in our EMS Incident Management Certificate. A published author of two wildly successful books, EMS: The Job Of Your Life and EMS2: The Life Of Your Job. Devin specializes in Incident Management programs for the EMS providers.
Gary Breuer, Instructor
Throughout Gary’s law enforcement career he has been assigned to the Emergency Services Unit. Gary is also a FF/EMT and Level II Fire Instructor, who serves as a Rescue Specialist with the NJ Urban Search and Rescue Team, NJ Task Force One (NJ-TF1). Gary is a life member, Chief Rescue Officer and Past Chief of the Flemington-Raritan First Aid & Rescue Squad. He leads our rescue programs utilizing his unique rescue background in many phases of emergency response including firefighting, emergency medical services, hazardous materials and technical rescue.

Jeremy Colby Instructor | Jeremy is a NJ EMT and PA FF1 working for an EMS department in Ocean County. Eamon Daul, RN, BSN, MPH Instructor | Eamon has 10 years of emergency service background. He currently holds the rank of Captain for a volunteer Resceu Squad, where he serves as a FF/EMT/Haz-Mat Technician. He recently began working as a staff nurse at an Emergency and Trauma Department. | Frank Emanuele Instructor Aide | Frank is currently a certified EMT-B and Firefighter in New Jersey. Currently he is working towards an associate's degree in Fire Science from Harrisburg Area Community College, where we is part of the Live-In program at Hampton Township Vol. Fire Co. In October he will begin his schooling at Central Pennsylvania College for a bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security Management. Michael Lapotasky
Instructor | Mike is NJ State certified EMT-B and Firefighter, and he is also a NJ State Certified teacher and a graduate of East Carolina University. Currently he is earning a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Seton Hall University. His emergency services experience includes Firefighting, EMS, Technical Rescue, and Haz-Mat. Michael's area of particular expertise is in Emergency Incident Rehabilitation and he is active with an area Rehab Task Force.
