Highway Safety for Emergency Responders
Course Overview
This instructor led course will introduce students to the safety concerns of operating on and around roadways & highways at accident, fire, hazmat and similar incidents, when personnel and apparatus will be on the roadways. This course was developed in the fall of 2007 by RVESCUE based on guidance from the CVVFA Emergency Responder Safety Institute.
Course Objectives
To prepare Emergency Responders to safely respond to, approach, stage, opearate and demobilize for an incident on any roadway or highway.

Audience
Any Emergency Responder that routinely responds to America’s Roadways or Highways as part of their duties. This can include EMS, Fire, Police, Highway Workers, DOT and Tow Truck Operators
